I agree too much gold on the old Privilege, but the new design is ugly. Too many manufacturers seem to feel the need for acoustically irrelevant additions that just detract from the basic beauty of the instrument. For similar reasons, I detest the pointless diagonal bar of metal on the top of the Tosca. Give me the understated simplicity and elegance of the Yamaha CSG, where the logo is engraved in the wood, but not enhanced in any way. Less is more.
