Well, it's still not too terribly much more than what the ex-VAT Euro pricing works out to (only about a thousand dollars, I've seen worse!), and I believe that still places it *slightly* below the Selmer Privilege in price, which is shown as selling for $12,659 at Everyone's Favorite Big Mail Order Shops.
It's such a wonderful instrument that I actually think even at that price it's quite reasonable. It SHOULD be appreciably more expensive than the 1193, just as the Tosca Bb and A are more expensive than the Prestige Bb/A. That kind of R&D and build quality doesn't come for free, after all!
