Ralph Skiano and Andrea Levine were offered 1 week trials in Detroit. I haven't heard anything about Seattle.

Seattle offered two trials but I don't know if the position was filled. It was a long audition process...

Has Theodore Oien retired from Detroit? -an outstanding clarinettist; I remember him when he was a teenager and we were both living in the same town in the middle of the desert.

Wow, I'm pulling for Andrea. Heard her in Louisville some years ago. Just a wonderfully musical player.

Didn't Ted Oien take a teaching position at Michigan State University?

He is not on the faculty at MSU this year and he is still listed as principal clarinetist with the Detroit Symphony on their website.

He's probably contracted to pay this whole season. The position would be for next season.
