If the crack is 1mm wide for the entire length and won't close, then you'll have to fill it in the same way you'd fill any cracks, chips, slots or holes in grenadilla.
My filler of choice is superglue and wood dust as this is workable almost immediately and provided the grenadilla power used matches the rest of the joint as near as possible, the repair will be hard to see once it has been finished both inside and out.
