You know -- I'm not really well versed in great saxophonists. My old teacher was in the DC Army band when Douse was in the Marine band.

The Youtube clip says it's a Radio Broadcast transcript from 1948.

Having done a little more research, however, Douse wrote a book on how to double and triple tongue -- so we can safely assume that he's not single tonguing in that clip!
