http://www.theviolinsite.com/online_metronome.html has an excellent metronome with an amazing collection of tick sounds, some of them ROFL funny.

The only differences I see in the descriptions of the MT9000 http://www.amazon.com/Sabine-MT9000-MetroTune-Chromatic-Metronome/dp/B0002FP04E/ref=pd_cp_MI_1 and the MT12000 http://www.amazon.com/SABINE-MetroTune-MT12000-Tuner-Metronome/dp/B0045OL3LC/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&s=musical-instruments&qid=1297344201&sr=1-5 are that the MT 12000 has 7 beat patterns instead of 5, the photo shows more buttons and it weighs a bit more and looks a bit larger. There's only a $5 difference in the prices, so flip a coin.

The Korg OT-120 has more bells and whistles and is essential if you play baroque instruments at A-415 or use historical tunings.
