For those of you who perform on Basset cl. ¿Do you perform seated or standing? With or without a neckstrap? Is there such a thing as a floor peg?

Standing with a neck strap. I have a floor peg attachment but that didn't really work all that well for me. I got the Steve Fox peg fitted also. The one that rest on the abdomen. It works but I've never had enough time to get used to it. When the next Mozart comes up i'll make more of an effort to use it I think.

FWIW, Morales plays the Mozart Concerto (on a Basset Clarinet) standing. He uses a neck strap regularly, even for the standard length instruments.

Like Peter, when playing the Mozart on basset clarinet I stand, use a neckstrap and use Steve Fox's abdomen peg. This peg is helpful if the keys for the basset notes (in my case low D, Db and C) are arranged on the thumb-side of the lower joint.
Depending on the basset note thumb-key configuration, it can be difficult to support the weight of the instrument with your right thumb while moving that thumb between the basset note keys. The abdomen peg supports the weight of the instrument while playing the basset notes.

I use a BG bassoon harness together with a custom-made (by Wood, Wind and Reed) abdomen support. This takes all the weight of the instrument but without transferring it to the back of the neck. It allows considerable freedom of movement (unlike a floor spike) and balances the instrument so well that it's possible to play throat G completely hands-free. It works well both standing and sitting.
