A similar question was raised on the oboe board:

http://test.woodwind.org/oboe/BBoard/read.html?f=10&i=11143&t=11143&v=f

So I assume it may be a German-built clarinet.

Do you know if it's simple (Albert) system, German system or Boehm system?

The following pic is of Boehm system (which is standard in most of the world): http://howarth.uk.com/pic.aspx?pic=./wo/cltSelmerSIGNATURE.jpg&pid=35050

German systems look like this (which is standard in Germany and Austria): http://www.puchner.com/en/klarinetten/no6_gross.php

Former oboe finisher
Howarth of London
1998 - 2010

The opinions I express are my own.

It appears to be like the Boehm system. How does this stack up to a Selmer, or other models? It also has a Babbit mouthpiece that is plastic- can you suggest a good replacement for this?
Thank you very much,
Josh
