Yes, I always suspected. Do you think that 4544 keyed clarinet in the photo comes with different barrel lengths in case it's too sharp or too flat? Or that they make them for both European and American pitch standards? Inquiring minds want to know.

I was tempted by a McIntyre system clarinet I saw listed on e--y (or -Ba-).

And in the early '90s there was a Romero system that went under the hammer at Christie's for a small fortune. Not something I'd trust any local general reparier to even open the case on!

Wow! So that website seems to be a kind of anti-Wikipedia! Is it just a bunch of jokes fomatted Wiki-way, and I just laugh and move on? To what extent can I 'believe' it?
