I am traveling with my college Concert Band to Norway this May. As many of you May know, this year marks the 100th year after Grieg's passing. I have the opportunity to perform in a chamber ensemble at Grieg's home. I have a clarinet trio. Does anyone know of any works by Grieg that have been transcribed for clarinet trio? Or maybe a different combination of 3, where I could do some transposing?
Any comments welcome. =)
Best Wishes,
Neal

David Bussick of Whichpond Music transcribed "Anitra's Dance" and "Last Spring" as commissioned pieces for my clarinet trio. Both are for 2 Bb and 1 bass and they are lots of fun to play. You can find them available on his website: http://www.whichpond.com . We just recorded our first demo CD and I can send along a music clip of "Last Spring" if you would like to hear it first.
Hope this helps in your search,

BTW, Grieg's home (Troldhaugen) is a fantastically beautiful place, and especially in May... If you'll be spending the 17th (national day) in Bergen, then look forward to it!
(but bring an umbrella/raincoat/cover/plastic clarinet just in case)
