 Mühlfeld's Clarinets
Author: Ken Shaw 2017

Here's a link to a photo of Mühlfeld's Ottensteiner clarinets, from the Meiningen Museum. <www.meiningermuseen.de/muehlfeldklarinette.html>

An identical Ottensteiner clarinet in C recently sold for over $6,100 on eBay and has generated a lot of discussion on the Klarinet list. I think it was bought by Danyel Franke, who owns and plays early clarinets. He posted a very interesting message at http://test.woodwind.org/Databases/Klarinet/2005/11/000331.txt about this instrument and the playing qualities of Ottensteiner clarinets in general.
