Check that the low Bb feather key is not bent slightly inward and impinging on the B key. If it is, when you play the Eb, the Bb will ride over the B key and prevent the Eb from returning to 'neutral', holding open the Eb mechanism.
Grasp the Bb key and pull it gently but firmly outward until it clears the B key.
This is a common problem because it is so easy to bump the Bb key on a chair or such.
If this is not the source of your problem then a good mechanic is the way to go...
