I'll jump on the bandwagon - the Nielsen wedge knife is what I've used for years. It is nicely weighted and easy to sharpen. Soft enough that I do wear it down - I go through one every 6 months or so - but I make a LOT of reeds, and at only $38 I don't really mind buying three at a time and keeping them in rotation.
