I recently bought a professional oboe complete with left-hand F.
The only problem is I don't know when to use it! I'm so used to my old student horn that didn't have the lh F, whenever I need to play an F, I revert back to either the 12345+ring finger or the split fingering.
Can someone be so good as to give me a little instruction as to when the left-hand F is advisable? Thanks.
