Best Season to Make Reeds

Hi all,

I don't want to sound silly; however, from my experience it seems more difficult to have successful reed outcomes in the winter and summer than in the fall and spring. Maybe the cane just responds differently in the cold and heat and the dry and humid.

Just scraped a few reeds ... they just don't respond well. Same cane and approach .... only difference winter in my reed room.
