Larilee Oboes

Hi,

Im planning to change over from clarinet to oboe soon but I am looking into what oboes to buy. I want somehting that is going to last me for a while, so I have been looking around in the intermediate range of oboes.

Im contemplating getting a Larilee 400W, but I have heard a very limited amount of information about them, and would be intereasted if any of you have played one, and your thoughts on that experience.

Also what brand of reeds do you believe is appropriate for a new oboist?
