 Using Profiled cane....and how to tie the reed on?

I just bought some supplies and am waiting for everything to arrive. I'm starting with profiled cane for now but have a few questions.

What all do I need to do to the profiled cane? How to adjust it?


Also, what is the best way to tie the reed on? How much should I wrap it?


Other general information that I really need to know?
