Hi,
I would like to share an observation about getting better pitch stability in the upper register. This tip came from my teacher.
In the extreme corners of the blend - you make a very defined separation between the tip and the heart. This is done by scraping the tip/blend at the corners at an angle - with the knife at 45 degrees.
Another observation about whistles in a reed. I find that if you scrap the heart at the corners right above the defined blend - the whistles go away.
Have anyone else had similar experiences / observations?
Mark
