Is my oboe "good enough"?

I have been digging through the archives of the forum for some time and reading about peoples "need" for a "pro" or full conservatory oboe. I am currently playing on a larilee 225W, standard conservatory, circa 1993. For tose who are not familiar with larilee the 225W is basically the same as a 210W.

I have not been playing long but due to the fact that I will not be spending years in elementry and HS levels has me wondering, if this oboe is really enough for now. I am sure that for the next 6 months or so it will not be a problem but I would like to play with a community group someday playing more advanced pieces.

I understand the instrument does not have the "left f key" or the "forked F resonance" keys and the third octive key, it does have the "low Bb key" though. I have very little issue playing the "normal" and "forked" f's ad in my range the instruemtn sounds good, body has no cracks, etc.

I was looking at the larilee 400W, and knowing that I can not afford a 4k+ oboe in the near future I am wondering if it makes since for me in a few months to try and get the 400W or will the 225W last a while.
