 Tempo of dances
Author: #188 Isak

Hi!
I am an amateur when it comes to ethnic clarinet, but recently I have purchased a book with several Norwegian folk songs. I started playing some of them and, well, it's really fun.

My question is regarding the tempo of the following dances:
Polka, waltz, polska (Nordic), mazurka and reel.

I have got some idea as far as the tempo of these, but I would like to know what the "standard" tempo is (in beats per second). If there are any individual opinions regarding the subject, please feel free to enlighten me.
