Has anyone ever played this. If so, can you tell me how much flute/ piccolo is required? I'm mainly clarinet/sax.

I played this about 20 years ago. Hopefully they've redone the books in Finale, as they were about as bad as I've ever seen, before or since.

If dimming memory serves, Reed 1 is mostly flute, with some clarinet and bass clarinet. Reed 2 is oboe, E. H., and clarinet, split about evenly. Reed 3 is flute and clarinet, don't recall the mix. Reed 4 is all bassoon. No sax anywhere. The overall sound recalls G&S and early 20th century, not at all pop or jazz.
