I recently saw a tool designed just for the purpose of removing such objects from you instrument. It had a T-handle and a long shaft. At the end of the shaft was a screw. Apparantly by inserting the device in your instrument and turning it, the screw grabs ahold of the object and allows you to remove it.
Unfortunately, I do not recall the web site I saw it on, but you can probably find someone locally that will fabricate such a device for you.
