You know, I only live about 25 minutes from Larry Naylor and I should really just take my old beloved Covey to him for a while... he does great work.
Somehow, I still like trying this stuff myself. My step-dad was a multi-degreed engineer ( electrical, mechanical, chemical) and a first generation nuclear engineer ( he specialized in keeping all the bango-stuff contained... he actually went into the 3-mile island reactor to figure a way to contain the radioactive gas bubble thet got loose in there.)
Growing up with him, I developed the idea/fascination with doing things myself and somewhere along the line of home repairs, farm house rebuilds, boat repairs, electrical system upgrades, I got the idea it was good to try it myself.
BTW, the recently burned wall paper in our master bedroom from my flawed attempt to wire 220 circuits a couple months back still needs replacement.
And, despite my wife's objections, I think I can fix the wall paper myself...
