Hi Carrie,
Moms are key in classical music. If it weren't for mine at the age of 10, I'd never have gotten the best teacher available from a major symphony, a student model Laubin to last me til she took me to the Loree studio in Paris on a trip there during high school, and a patient audience all the way through. Here's to Mom's hidden role in the oboe world (and other key adults, but my guess is it's usually the Mom)! Anyone else got a good Mom story?
