Sorry Judy, I didn't mean to come across in the manner I did back then.
I think the best test is to try an M2 against a 2000 series Marigaux to see how the two types compare with each other.
There's an M2 currently in the factory being converted to dual system for a UK player - that's having a thumbplate added to the body, and new (and longer) 3rd 8ve keys fitted to both headjoints.
I don't think it's possible to fit fully automatic 8ves to these oboes due to the way they're constructed/divided, though chances are there's a way around it if need be.
