Give it at least 10 years before buying a Chinese instrument - they should have caught up with the quality Jupiter had back in the mid-'80s! In 10 years time, Jupiter should be where Yamaha are now.
But (I hear you all cry) where can Yamaha possibly go from where they are now? I just hope they keep up their standards, though it's most likely their woodwinds will be produced in both China and Taiwan anyway (for the student, intermediate and some pro instruments), just leaving some of the top model production instruments in Japan.
Stick with your Fox - you know what it can do and where to go if it needs work doing to it (rather than being turned away for having an instrument that is uneconomical to repair).
