Definitely reed case. But if she's the love of your life, go big! There are some gorgeous ones that are hand made all-wood, and also some very nice leather ones.
If she is a bit of a gadget nut, Korg makes an "orchestral" tuner (something like that -- it's a little over $100) with an electronic pickup on it that is great.
She might appreciate a new knife -- people frequently are put off by the price of some of (in my opinion) some of the better knives out there -- specifically, Landwell. (Feel free to make whatever editorial comments you would like about buying sharp objects for someone you are in a relationship with! Also, not if she's Chinese -- it's bad luck).
Inexpensive items: You might look at are swabs -- If she uses silk pull through swabs, those come in a bunch of funky patterns (I have a purple tie dyed one I am fond of . . .). Also, oboe reed thread comes in a million colors and might be a fun thing to include along with some other purchase.
Good sites include midwest musical imports (sorry, don't have the link), rdg woodwinds(www.rdgwoodwinds.com), Mcfarland (www.mcfarlanddoublereed.com), Marc Chudnow (http://mcwoboe.com).
Good luck, happy shopping.
