I have used for years, a Blayman 5x5 square base. I own four pegs for it -- oboe and English horn, and also a flute peg and clarinet peg for when I double in shows. The base is very heavy, therefore very stable. I have had mine for 13 years and it has taken a real beating, but one wouldn't know it to look at it. So, I highly suggest the blayman stand/peg.
