I have had very good oboe students want to join the jazz ensemble at their high school. Once they have a good oboe embrochure established they seem to learn to double on sax very easily. Trying very different embrochures such as flute or even clarinet very early in their oboe experience is generally difficult for them. After oboe, they claim the sax is easy. : )
