I've never heard of the military system... is it like the "thumbplate" system used in Britain. Does your fingering chart show C as (X 0 0/0 0 0) (i.e., same as B but without pressing the thumbplate) ? Just curious. The earlier comments are most likely correct that you should follow the conservatory fingering chart, unless of course you look on the back of your oboe and find a thumbplate underneath the first octave key.
