It's lighter and won't kill your wrist as much. :)

Some will tell you that it's a TOTALLY different sound (warmer/more "covered"/whatever) and some will tell you that the body material doesn't mean much of anything and you should play whatever you want, you'll still sound like you.

I'm one of the latter. Try 'em both, see what works best for you. (Keeping in mind that they are two individual instruments, and any differences between them may have absolutely nothing to do with the wood species they're made of, and everything to do with the differences that always exist between two instruments.)

The Howarths are GREAT instruments, and I have generally liked them more than Lorees.
