These kinds of things actually happen more often than you think. Recordings are recordings - they are made to sound perfect. Most often, mistakes are very minor, almost unnoticeable, but they do happen with some frequency. Instrument solos tend to have less mistakes, as musicians usually practice these the most. If it's minor enough, most recording engineers will leave a slight bobble in. (Either that, or it's a cheap recording)
Even the best musicians make mistakes. I once went to see a symphony concert, with a Rachmaninoff piece with a huge clarinet solo (forget the name, but still) The player had been playing there for 25 years - I had been listening to that orchestra regularly for about 4 years. Then, quite unexpectedly he S-Q-U-E-A-K-E-D out a note. Needless to say, he continued playing, and the rest was gorgeous. But it goes to show you....
