About 6 months ago, there was extensive discussion in the IDRS list about problems with high note intonation and response problems on the newer Lorée Royal AK instruments, which needed a bore adjustment to play right. This may be what Covey and Weber are doing.
P.S., the model is the Royal, not the Royale.
P.P.S., James Caldwell told me about a year ago that the Royal is great for orchestral work, and that the regular model, and his own model, are better for ensemble work.
