That's a tough call...there's only so much you can take off a reed before it starts to affect intonation and response in the upper register, but at the same time, if it keeps feeling like two Popsicle(tm) sticks tied together, whattya gonna do??

My best advice would be to do what you did in Santa Fe, and write the reeds off for future use. It's only two reeds, and if they get you through tonight, then they've done their job...there are always more reeds, right! :)
