Try a stepped glassware brush, available at a chemical supply store, if you can find one. The small section is about 1/4 inch in diameter and the large section is about 3/4 inch in diameter. The bristles are soft enough not to do any damage but hard enough to scrub out the junk and polish the bore. Again, good luck!
