Thanks all for the great advice. My reed strengths range from medium soft to hard (all from the same maker) so I must be biting. I have and will continue to use your great advice. I will also return for a consultation with my former instructor. Thank you all soo much!!!

Your replies have brought up another important question: Should ones oboe embouchure remain stationary throughtout the range of the oboe, or does one manipulate the size and shape of the oral cavity for certain registers???
