I have one, and it is better than using a dull standard reed knife. However, I hardly ever use it because I find that it doesn't scrape tips anywhere close to as well as a properly sharpened reed knife.
Because it never needs sharpening, it's a compromise product for those unwilling to learn how to properly sharpen a reed knife.
