The upper side key on ring key conservatoire system (and on some student model covered action) oboes is for the Ab-Bb trill. Play Ab (G#) as normal and trill with the upper side key. That same key can also be used for altissimo F# along with the altissimo F fingering - just like adding the side Bb key on saxes to get F# along with the front F fingering.
On intermediate and pro level oboes with covered or Gillet conservatoire system, you have a link from the G# key to hold down the LH2 fingerplate so you can play that trill by fingering Ab and trilling with LH finger 2.
The upper side key on intermediate and pro level Gillet conservatoire system oboes is the G#-A trill - hold it down to open the G# key and trill with LH finger 3 - the hole in the LH3 fingerplate makes sure the A is in tune.
On thumbplate systems you can use the Barret side key for the Ab-Bb trill.
