 Beethoven 2nd Symphony
Author: JohnW

My orchestra is playing this in the next concert cycle. Does anyone have words of wisdom/experience for things to work on, watch out for, particularly hard spots, etc.

I'm starting to work hard on this piece, my first big work on oboe. Fortunately the Bell's Palsy has mostly gone and I was able to play the whole of the first rehearsal.

Thanks to all,

John

Great piece! All the best! (practice everything slowly... it can get really fast!)

Yes, I'm finding that out, though it isn't quite as intimidating as I thought it would be. I am still a long way from an adequate performance, but the first two rehearsals have gone better than anticipated.

I do already have the score marked up with things to work on. Some of it is really fun.
