Hey guys, It's me again. :]
I've been working with the oboe a lot more now, but a questionable mechanism is bringing me back to the forum. On the thumb register key, I've been studying the way it works...what I've noticed is, on my particular instrument, the button that is raised when releasing the register key is not going back down all the way to completely cover the hole, causing unwanted octave jumps. I've tried fiddling with the one screw on the upper end connected to the register key, with no result. I figured the oboe experts might now how to help...any suggestions?
