The Linton HS2R does not have a left F mechanism and if your budget allows for purchasing a left hand F oboe, these are some lower cost left F oboes around the net:

The Fox is really the gold standard of intermediate oboes, the Selmer is a common student oboe suitable for learning that should at least be able to resale for these prices.

That said if you can find a Yamaha 241 in good condition for $500 that should get you started, you just would be using fingerings you may need to unlearn later, it could be re-sold easily at that price.
