 Oboe and facial injury
Author: ptarmiganfeather

Hi! I received a facial injury this week. Got hit between my chin and cheekbone. Enough to need a trip to the ER and glue on the outside. I think oboe playing is out of the question for a few weeks. I also think that playing the oboe before the injury has sped up the healing process.

I still need to see if my mouth can make a seal and how it has affected my embouchure. How should I start out? Just go full blast? Has anyone else received a facial injury and has it affected playing?

Thanks in advance for replies.

Edit for spelling
