Hello everyone!
I'm on the hunt for a new oboe and was wondering if anyone had an opinion or information about Bulgheroni Oboes? Specifically if they are tuned to A=440 or A=442. Thanks!

I have three students who own the opera models. I know of two professionals who own the MUSA models. All are WONDERFUL horns. I tested several as well. Had I had about 2000 more to spend I would have bought it.
In my experience they all played at 440. However almost everything depends on your reeds, your scrape, your gouge, etc. you can make any oboe play at 442 if you need it to.
Good luck

If I remember correctly, Mark Chudnow is using Bulgheroni made oboes as the basis for his line of oboes. The ones I have heard sounded pretty good and the price is reasonable. See his web site at http://mcwoboe.com/
