 Flutter Tonguing

My university Orchestra is playing Bernstein's Symphonic Dances from West Side Story next year in First Semester, so naturally some of our seating placement audition excerpts are being pulled from that.
Our conductor mentioned that the oboe parts require flutter tonguing.
My question is, is this true because I can't find a mention of it anywhere, and if so, I would welcome any advice on flutter tonguing. I've been asking around with the flute brass players at Uni but I can't roll my Rs so I'm predicting I'll have great difficulty with flutter tonguing...
Thanks!
