Thanks, J. I had seen this article before and not taken the time to really read it.

Those are my exact thoughts about the Adagio. I have always thought that D minor is just a little too bright for the beauty of that movement, and perhaps less suited on modern instruments particularly.

I personally prefer to play it in C minor, but I didn't want to step on any historical toes, so to speak!
