From what I've from 2 oboe friends in CO, USA, the benefits fade rather quickly.

And here it adds $750 US to the cost of service, plus it takes an extra month in the bath.

I am still on the fence...

I kind of doubt I'd do it.

Wipe the inside and outside and inside more frequently,and learn how to deal with that if it clogs a tone hold or octave vent.

Use natural oils though, sweet almond, etc.
