 buying an old marigaux?

I tested an old marigaux oboe today. I can't date the instrument from the serial number (4595), but I guess it's from the 70ies or even older.

One oddity: the left F key is not for the F but for the C#. Can this be used to date the instrument?

Some of the keys (all three left hand keys and the D key) are really worn, and would have to be replated or even replaced. No cracks and bore seems fine.

Instrument plays very well, has a nice sound, is very easy going in the higher register. I was less impressed with the lower register.

I am currently playing a rigoutat, which is in urgent need of a complete overhaul. I will need a replacement for at least a few months, that is why I was looking for a fairly cheap but still high quality instrument.

Any advice?
