 Low A...

Now I've had the LH C# mechanism in place for a while I think it's about time to do something else to my oboe.

I've now got the desire to fit a low A extension to my oboe which will fit between the lower joint and the bell (like a cor anglais low Bb extension barrel, but with keywork) - already sketched out a basic plan of how it'll work, but it would be nice to put that plan into action.

If anyone has a low A Loree Royal or has access to one, what's the length of the lower joint in millimetres? I'd like both the length from the top of the socket to the tenon shoulder and also from the top of the socket to the end of the tenon.

The opinions I express are my own.
