 Dulcet oboe

Was wondering if anyone knows the history of pM dulcet wooden oboes? I bought one back in the 70s from an elderly couple - he had been playing it professionally in his earlier career - but have no history prior to that. It had the most beautiful tone and was used up to youth orchestra one and university level. The bell has PM Dulcet - above this is a ribbon emblem and below this is made in china - i do know that chinese brands arent the best nowadays but believe that china was often commisssioned to make oboes for companies and individual brands. Does anyone have any other knowledge as Ive hunted high and low for info but to no avail. Many thanks.
