I have been using a Pfeiffer single barrel for a couple years now. It is similar to a bassoon cane profiler, not a reed profiler. It does a great job of getting through the bulk of the cane. The learning I got is that it gives you a new starting point. It would be very hard to try to get the profiler to match your own style. Figureout where you spend the most time and then aim the profiler to accomplish that work. It is a different approach and requires some adaptation.
